Issue Position

Endorsed by the NRA with an A rating, I'm a solid advocate for our rights to keep and bear arms as guaranteed to us by the Second Amendment.

This guarantee, which plainly states "the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed" was written in the Constitution to make sure that power remained in the hands of the people, and not the government. Defending the Second Amendment is an obligation I take very seriously.

Some of What I Did

Supported legislation to allow a person to apply for an enhanced permit to carry a concealed pistol (HB 1215).

Supported legislation to allow concealed carry permit holders from other states to legally carry a concealed pistol in South Dakota (HB 1116).

Supported legislation to allow background investigation for concealed carry permits to be conducted through the national instant criminal background check system (HB 1096).
